How the major stock indexes fared on Thursday (AP)

The stock market finally got a deal from Greece, but it didn't produce much of a rally. Greece says it has agreed to cut spending to satisfy some of its lenders. That's a key condition for Greece to avoid a default next month that could spook world financial markets.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 6.51 points, or 0.1 percent, to 12,890.46.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 1.99 points, or 0.2 percent, to 1,351.95.

The Nasdaq composite rose 11.37 points, or 0.4 percent, to 2,927.23.

For the week so far:

The Dow is up 28.23 points, or 0.2 percent.

The S&P 500 is up 7.05 points, or 0.5 percent.

The Nasdaq is up 21.57 points, or 0.7 percent.

For the year so far:

The Dow is up 672.90 points, or 5.5 percent.

The S&P 500 is up 94.35 points, or 7.5 percent.

The Nasdaq is up 322.08 points, or 12.4 percent.
